These categories are:

-   Core - The Production Task is perfect and there's no appetite to improve the process or the system(s) that underpin it
    
-   Outsource - The Production Task is a candidate for outsourcing
    
-   Offshore - The Production Task is a candidate for offshoring
    
-   Process - The Production Task has been identified as a candidate for Process Improvement
    
-   RPA/Automation - The Production Task has been identified as a candidate for an RPA/Automation initiative
    
-   Surplus - The Production Task has been identified as a superfluous step in a process that could be completely removed
    
-   N/A - the Production Task has not been categorized yet.
