Skill plans are an essential tool for leaders to plan their team's capacity and identify any skill coverage issues. By creating skill plans, leaders can identify skill gaps, set goals for learning and development, and track progress towards achieving those goals.

Here are the steps to create a skill plan:

  1. Access the Plans Page: To start creating a Skill Plan, go to Skills > Plans.

  2. Create a New Plan: Click on the "Create Plan" button to create a new Skill Plan. Give your plan a name and a description, and select the team this plan is for. It will default to your team, but if you administer more than one team, you can select any of them.

  3. Add Skill Goals: Once you have created the Skill Plan, it's time to add some skill goals. Click on the "Add Skill Goal" button on the Plan page. Choose a skill from the list and set a due date for the goal.

  4. Set Required Capacities: Next, set the required capacities for each skill level. Choose how many Experts, Intermediates, and Beginners you will need to meet the skill goal by the due date.

  5. Save Your Skill Plan Click on "Save" to add the skill goal to your Skill Plan.

  6. View Your Skill Plan Your Skill Plan is now visible on the Plans page, where everyone on your team can see it. You can also view your team's skill profile to see how your Skill Plan fits into the team's overall skills roadmap.

Creating a Skill Plan is a straightforward process that can help you identify and share the plan for your team. By identifying skill gaps, setting goals, and tracking progress, you can ensure that your team has the skills to cover future needs.
