The CI opportunity reporting in Bramble provides insight into the volume, cost and daily output per FTE categorized by specific improvement categories.

When setting-up Bramble for your organization, the Owner must categorize each Production Task by 'Improvement Category'. These categories are:

  • Core - The Production Task is perfect and there's no appetite to improve the process or the system(s) that underpin it

  • Outsource - The Production Task is a candidate for outsourcing

  • Offshore - The Production Task is a candidate for offshoring

  • Process - The Production Task has been identified as a candidate for Process Improvement

  • RPA/Automation - The Production Task has been identified as a candidate for an RPA/Automation initiative

  • Surplus - The Production Task has been identified as a superfluous step in a process that could be completely removed

  • N/A - the Production Task has not been categorized yet.

The insight provided by the CI reporting in Bramble can be filtered a number of different ways however most importantly, the reporting will provide you with the total resource effort (hours and cost) by Improvement Category as well as the impact on Unit Cost.

This insight is especially useful to 'Innovation-focused' Business Units (Process Improvement, Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, Transformation) for two reasons:

  1. It provides insight that can be used to target future improvement initiatives

  2. It allows tracking of the efficacy of in-flight or recently completed improvement initiatives.
