In Bramble, 'Gap' refers to the amount of unaccounted time at work. It is calculated in Bramble by subtracting the time spent on Output, Supporting Tasks, and Friction from the total Available Time at work.

As 'Gap' is only relevant when looking at active work hours it does not take into account time off or leave taken by employees.

For example, if I work an 8-hour day and produce 4 hours of Output, spend 2 hours on Supporting Tasks and report 30 mins of Friction, my 'Gap' would be 1.5 hours, or 19%.

By identifying areas where time is being wasted or unproductively spent, organizations can take steps to improve their operations and increase productivity.
