User Identities are how Bramble ensures that the data being uploaded into the Connector is assigned to the correct user in Bramble.

The first time you upload a new file for a given Workflow and Source, you'll need to complete the initial user mapping via the User Identity Search screen under the Data menu option, as this table only populates once that step has been completed.

Once you have completed the initial mapping, and have successfully uploaded a file, you can use User Identities to manage those mappings ongoing.

The User Identity table contains the following information:

  • Id - the system generated number produced for each User Identity

  • Source - which data source the User identity is associated with

  • User - the name of the User in Bramble data will be assigned to

  • Value - the unique User identifier from the column in the Workflow - these can differ for each system integration.

If there's a change to identifier in the Source system, or to the User the identifier should be linked to, you may need to change how the User is mapped into Bramble.

To view or edit a User Identity, click on the Id number in the first column of the table above, which will open the detail panel below:

From here you are able to edit either the Source or the User simply by selecting the applicable dropdown.
